Updated to combine PWRRUN HG previously only seen in the Elite shoe, with the lightweight propulsion of PWRRUN PB, the Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 in Fog/Peal is powered by two different peba based foams for a snappy and responsive feel to your race day partner.

The Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 uses a full-length carbon-plate that is tuned to give longitudinal stiffness and maximum efficiency, when mixed with max stack dual foam propulsion, and Saucony’s Speedroll technology you get a forward feeling motion that helps you to new times.

The upper features a silky-smooth heel liner and integrated tongue system to make this racing shoe feel like an old friend as you step in.

CARBON PLATE

Carbon plates have well-researched benefits and a seemingly endless list of race wins and world records.

They create the firmer feel that fast racers are looking for and help to guide the foot through your stride, providing a touch of extra support. They can also help create a rocker feel, with the stiffness allowing the shoe to pivot – as the toe goes down, the heel must come up, easing you into your next stride.

Although stiff, they do flex, providing an energised pop of forward momentum as the plate fights to retain its shape.

Each brand, and almost every shoe, uses a plate differently. Different shapes, thicknesses, and designs are used to prioritise a different aspect of performance. Some aim exclusively to guide the stride, while others focus solely on propulsion.
EXTRA CUSHIONING
Featuring extra-deep stacks of midsole foam, extra-cushioned shoes offer improved impact absorption, comfort, and even performance. With modern foams providing energy return through your stride, the more foam under your foot, the bigger the spring forward. The trade-off of extra foam is additional weight and reduced ground feel. It can also be expensive to create and stabilise so much foam.
NEUTRAL
Neutral running shoes are designed to provide a smooth sensation without correcting your gait. They allow your natural motion to flow, while still offering a snug fit and a cushioned feel underfoot. As such, they’re ideal for runners who don’t overpronate.
SAUCONY
Founded in 1898 at the Saucony Creek in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the much-loved, much-mispronounced American brand has been producing top-notch running gear for well over a century.

Every Saucony shoe – “sock-a-knee”, if you want to get it right – pays tribute to its origin story by way of the brand’s logo. It shows water flowing around three distinct boulders at the creek, which today represent the three guiding principles of the brand: good performance, good health, and good community.

In Saucony’s modern range, shoes like the trail-pounding Peregrine and plush Triumph have been joined by the revolutionary Endorphin collection of speed shoes, which includes the incredibly popular Endorphin Speed. Try a pair and discover the truth behind their mantra, “Unbelievably fast. Endless potential.”.
